Our office has a high demand for new patient appointments. The majority of the appointment requests managed by My Receptionist for our office are new patient appointment requests, so our providers used to use the "Day Off" feature to block off weeks at a time. This allowed the providers to ensure appointment availability for their established patients and for urgent patients. After an update to the program, the plus symbol was removed and providers can no longer schedule appointments over a "Day Off"/blocked slot. By blocking a few weeks at a time with the "Day Off" feature, our office prevented My Receptionist from filling all the time slots with new patients. This prevented having schedules with little or no timely appointment availability for established and urgent patients.
It was suggested to us that we use the weekly day off feature to block appointment slots, but this does not work for our office because the selected day off is indefinite. Our office needs the flexibility of blocking time off as needed and for short periods.
Can a feature be added that will give providers appointment access to blocked "Day Off" slots, but still prevent My Receptionist from being able to schedule on these blocked periods; a possible override feature accessed only with a password or something like that.
